[admin] Welcome & Friending Meme!
Hello everyone! I meant to do this the first day of creating this comm, but life got ahead of me. This post functions as two things: (1) a welcome to 62ruepicpus and (2) a friending meme for canon setting LM fans on Dreamwidth.
As far as the welcome goes: welcome! The comm founder is smithens (that's me). This community was designed to be a place for Brick-based Les Misérables fans on Dreamwidth to share and crosspost their content, as well as to have original conversations and discuss meta, headcanons, etc. Adult content is allowed so long as it is properly age restricted. As of yet, there are no rules other than "be nice to each other". More detailed rules may come along if necessary.

If you've never participated in a friending meme, it's quite simple: just copy and paste the code shown below into a comment reply to this post, and then fill out the form! Users can then review your comment and decide if they'd like to get to know you better, and you can do the same! Anyone with an interest in canon setting, Brick-based Les Misérables is welcome to participate in this meme, as that's the basis for the community. :-)

What kind of content do you create?: I write canon setting fanfiction centered around the Amis! I also dabble very rarely in meta and share headcanons. Most of my fanwork is Teen-rated slash fic for Enjolras/Combeferre, but I also produce gen works.
What do you ship, or do you prefer gen content? My OTP is Enjolras/Combeferre always and forever. I also ship and sometimes write content for Jean Prouvaire/Combeferre, Joly/Lègle, and Courfeyrac/Marius. And I enjoy Fantine/Favourite and Zéphine/Dahlia.
Favorite characters: Fantine, Combeferre, Jean Valjean, Enjolras, & Cosette.
Favorite parts of the Brick or digressions: The Convent section is my favorite of the digressions. My favorite chapters are "Quel horizon" and "Cinq de moins, un de plus", and my favorite books include the barricade-related chapters as well as Book 3 of both I. Fantine and II. Cosette.
Other interests: Re: LM, I love historical fashion, historical education, and proto-Utopian/proto-Feminist philosophy. Not re: LM, I'm a dancer and like fin de siècle and inter-war English and French literature.
What do you post on your Dreamwidth? My public DW has my fanfic, finished sewing & scanning projects, book & film reviews, and icons/graphics. My private DW has all of those things + progress updates about most of them, and also personal nonsense.
What is your journal's access or comment policy? I prefer to have mutual access granted & I allow comments on all of my posts.
Do you post adult content? Sometimes! I always use DW's Age Restriction function.
Anything else you'd like to share? I'm the mod of this comm and hope it sees some use! :-)

What kind of content do you create? i write fanfiction, usually canon era, usually about combeferre and/or enjolras, usually them together. i also talk loudly about wwi aus.
What do you ship, or do you prefer gen content? combeferre/enjolras and combeferre/courfeyrac 4evaaaa. however, i will honestly read almost anything if it's interesting and well-written. i love gen and want to write more of it!
Favorite characters: all the amis, but especially enjolras, combeferre, and courfeyrac. jean prouvaire strong contender for top 3.
Favorite parts of the Brick or digressions: the usual ami and barricade parts, also i love everything to do with cosette as an adult. i am also probably the only one who enjoyed the nun digressions.
Other interests: i collect antique postcards and love talking about antique postcard culture! also: art history (19th cen. to contemporary), 19th and 20th century literature, sad wwi facts, carnivorous plants, women's history, and opera.
What do you post on your Dreamwidth? fanfiction snippets, my thoughts about enjolras re: his hotness, long personal posts about failed pizza parties, things that don't really fit on my other social media but i still want to share with the void

Other ships I like are Courfeyrac/Marius, Combeferre/Jean Prouvaire, Combeferre/Joly, Joly/Bossuet, Fantine/Favourite, Zéphine/Dahlia... and other relationships/friendships I like in gen stuff include Enjolras & Feuilly, Enjolras & anyone else actually, Éponine & Azelma, Valjean & any nice relationship he has in his life

Cosette, Enjolras, Marius, and Valjean. Honorable mentions to Fantine, Eponine, Combeferre, and Courfeyrac.

Any and every bit that's ever got a tear out of me. Also, le Cabuc and Enjolras' subsequent speech.

What kind of content do you create? at the moment not a lot, but historically fanfic has always been my go to. For now it's mostly discussion but I'm hoping to get more creative in fandom again next year.
What do you ship, or do you prefer gen content? I love all the ABC ships which have grown more popular in the Les Mis fandom in the last few years! I ship and let ship though, discussing different ships is always interesting and gen content is just as good.
Favorite characters: all the minor characters, and Javert.
Favorite parts of the Brick or digressions: I love the Waterloo section for digression! Recent fandom had me go back and re-read the ABC parts too and I'm definitely into the futile youthful fervour for revolution and that part where Marius leans against a tree crying for hours never fails to make me laugh.
Other interests: paganism, ecology, fantasy literature, poetry, horses, cats, tea, dragons, Welsh myth, permacultures, tarot, rock music.
What do you post on your Dreamwidth? I'm making a fresh start with this one so it's new and time will tell, but I anticipate book discussions, thinking out loud about the land I live in, stories about my cat, horsey rambles, and fandom chat.
